My first time having Beef Wellington and I can honestly say it was delicious BUT next time will definitely be trying the steak instead. It was great don’t get me wrong, but there’s something about a good steak on a Friday night that’ you can’t beat. Definitely going back.

    Florida – Stone Crab, Snapper, Grouper, Mahi, shrimp (Keys)

    Maryland – Blue Crab, oysters

    Louisiana – Redfish, oysters, crawdads, shrimp

    * Although I didn’t include it on the list for Florida, I find warm water lobster superior to cold water, but know that the majority of the country would disagree. It’s probably because I’m from Ft Lauderdale and that’s what I grew up on.

  2. Make sure you get fries — they’re cooked in beef fat and taste like you remember fries tasting like.

    Curious why people like this place so much. Is the steak that good or is there something else I should try there that’s special? I feel like nyc has so many steak restaurants I’ve never been angling to go to another one so wondering if there is something special about this place

    The food I got when I was there was recommended from the server. I got most of everything they recommend, and none of it blew me away. It was all very bland and unseasoned. The place is nice and the service was great but food and cocktails were a miss for me.

    Still have to try them out. Missed out on trying Sunday roast in London but turns out Hawksmoor does it!

    That cocktail looks great too.

    When I told my friends in London that Hawksmoor had a location in NYC (and was extremely popular with great reviews) they legitimately laughed in my face.. I think it’s like a Benjamin Prime type place over there.
