I personally would like to be one of the first to add a post to it. Here's a picture of the onion my roommate at work lodging left on the counter of the kitchen I freshly cleaned. It has now been there for over 12 hours. Idk how long it will stay. But I'm sad and disheartened.

not only is this a sad day for the onion, but also who tf does this in a shared living space (or even in a solo living space. who tf does this at all)

Biggest problem for me is cutting an onion without fully peeling it

  3. I think ought to be in /CountertopCrimes if such a subreddit exists.

I know I risk being downvoted to oblivion, but I propose this isn’t the worst thing in the world for this onion. It could be languishing, cut side up, drying out edible layers of goodness, or face down on a dirty surface (you said you just cleaned, right?) Maybe it’s disrespectful, also maybe being clean cut, skin on, and face down on the clean counter is just right for short term, eco friendly preservation.
