Cristal 2014
Young. Citrus, chalk, white floral, and brioche. Tension and elegant. fine mousse with a crystalline mineral finish.
Bonneau du Martray Corton-Charlemagne 2020
Double decanted. Good acidity wrapped around citrus, green apple, crushed stones. Less opulence more finesse. Young, but the bones are grand cru all the way.
Screaming Eagle “2nd Flight” 2011
The 2 2011s are what i call classic. cooler vintage expression. Red fruit, graphite, and violets. Open and ready to go. Integrated tannins, elegant and long. Silky texture with a lifted finish.
Screaming Eagle “2nd Flight” 2013
More opulent than the 2011—richer black cherry, cocoa, and sweet oak. Tannins will need more time to integrate.
🦅 Screaming Eagle Cabernet Sauvignon 2011
Dark fruit, wet earth, cedar. Cool vintage gives it great balance and freshness. Less muscle than warmer years, but incredible finesse. Tannins resolved.
🦅 Screaming Eagle Cabernet Sauvignon 2008
Quite close in the beginning even after double decant (1.5 hours) slowly opens up in the glass. Blackcurrant, graphite, dried herbs, eucalyptus and leather. Layers of complexity unfolding with each swirl. Tannins smooth and integrated.

Looks amazing. Next time, cut the foils right.
What’s the other screaming eagle?
Holy shit
Good grape juice
Do we have a new Mchangwine?!
I was working in Napa when the 2011’s were current release and getting a lot of flak. I knew they would age way more gracefully than the big fruit bomb vintages.
What price tag would you give them if you were in a blind tasting?
