During a recent trip to Barcelona for the Primavera music festival, I found myself gorging on copious amounts of seafood paella and sangria. When I got home, I vowed to learn how to make the paella.

I hadn’t given cooking a go in my quest to find a hobby, even though I have always loved food. I foolishly had always seen it more as a functional skill rather than something I would use to relax. My rotting Hello Fresh in the fridge tells me that a lot of my attempts to home cook had fallen short.
