Asked for medium rare on my filet and I think they got it dead on, what do you guys think?

Thought it was a baked potato at first with all the butter on top.

you got butter with a side of steak

I gotta try compound butter next time I make a steak! I’ve never seen so much on a steak but now I’m drooling.

This subreddit makes me realize that I’ve lived such a fortunate life.

That looks like it was sous vide then a quick flip on the grill.

If you can play hangman on the table cloth (paper) then it is not a ‘nice’ restaurant.

Idk why but I’m having chest pains outta nowhere.🤔

  8. Not a fan at all of drowning a steak in butter but yes it looks properly cooked. When they slather it with butter like that it’s usually a sign that they are serving you a lower end cut of meat, like choice instead of prime, and are covering up the lack of marbling with a lot of additional fat. But as you said you can always choose to remove it.

Put that amount of butter on anything and it’ll taste good. Glad you enjoyed your steak, though.

Is that your steak knife in the mashed potatoes while you cut your steak with a butter knife?

Mmmm nothing like cold steak and cold butter to help the arteries.

    Weak sear

    Way too much butter

Any restaurant using butcher paper placemats probably not that “nice” in the world of steak.

One thing I learned about eating the best steak of my life….I was ruined. Now nothing else compares. It was a Japanese A5 Waygu ribeye.

A filet… filets are known to be tender and mild. Branch out. Try a ribeye, a strip, a bavette… anything but a tenderloin.

I’ve been to a few hot steak spots, and made my face share of amazing steaks but the best steak I’ve ever ingested was weirdly at a olive garden. To this day I think of that beauty

I hope you are young and have many more and better steaks in your life

  17. BossingtonFox

That’s like saying you had the best tomato ever after eating a margherita pizza

  18. Coffeefiend-_-

Did you actually taste steak? Or just butter 🤔

  19. Greenfirelife27

I wouldn’t be thrilled at all to have that plopped on my table. This can’t be an actual steakhouse bro

  20. TurdMcDirk

Served on a skillet like Chili’s fajitas? Was it served with a side of skillet queso and a frosty marg?

  21. Besides the ice cream scoop size of butter, that is a good looking steak

  22. Looks great, but I can’t get my head around chopping up their meat into pieces first. Don’t people usually eat one bite at a time ?

  23. The_CeleryMan

If you are used to getting your steak at Olive garden… And then went to this shitty restaurant and got that… Ok.

There is nothing nice about whatever restaurant that is.. maybe in your Social class it’s “nice”

  24. Efficient-Writer2014

Really not a fan of that much butter on a steak

  25. I don’t like the butter on my steak, esp to this magnitude
