I just bought the Weber E-425 with the griddle attachment, and love it. The nice thing about Weber is how easily repairable they are.

Over a Charbroil? Definitely.
LikelyWatchdog
Weber.

Unpopular opinion incoming: I’ve posted to this sub. I have owned and still own many Weber products. Most recently Genesis E325. The quality has tanked. The components feel light poorly assembled. They actually swapped out my original after a year because it wasn’t getting hot. Ill use mine until it goes, but I’ll most likely be purchasing a commercial grade when I need to replace. My relationship with Weber is withering.

Napolean is really good too

Can’t speak to one over the other since I don’t own either and haven’t used either. I do like weber products so I’m biased.
With that said, personally, I would find it difficult to purchase any grill brand new with the quantity available on the second hand market. Often perfectly good grills, in like new condition, for a fraction of the new price. But, I’m a cheap bastard.
Ambitious_Jelly8783
Yes. I have had a Charbroil, and I do not recommend… I think the comparable would be Napoleon brand.
Just grab a Weber. You won’t go wrong
MercedesCat
Yes. It’s not even close, and it’s frankly laughable that they’re comparable in price right now.

Just got my Spirit 425 for Father’s Day and I love the damn thing so much. I like the new sear zone too. So glad I opted for the 4 burner instead of the 3.

Weber or Charbroil?
Weber every day. Not even a question.
You’ll be wanting to replace the charbroil in 5 years. You might *think* about replacing the flavorizer bars on the weber sometime after that.
SilntNfrno
I just got this exact 4 burner Spirit a few weeks ago. My previous grill was a Genesis that I had for 15 years. I’ve been very happy with the Spirit. I’d definitely recommend it.
Get it from Ace if that’s an option near you. They assembled and delivered the new grill for free, and hauled away my old one.
LonelyMichaels
I prefer Weber. Main thing about charbroil is cheap lids and uneven cooking (hot spots). They also rust out quickly.

The r/webergrills sub is definitely completely unbiased and fair.

Weber all the way!
One hidden advantage of the Weber is that you will be able to get parts for it until the end of time.

I have had both.
The weber, without question, is constructed of higher quality materials

E-325 myself. Would have gotten the 425 but I have a area built into the deck just for the grill. The E-425 would have fit but it would be less than a half inch of space on either end.

You’re asking that question in the Weber sub Reddit?

I have the 2 burner Spirit. I have a griddle on one burner and grates on the other. I absolutely love it. It’s a Weber…
Sweaty_Cut2753
Weber all day, I bought the spirit a couple years ago and any, ANY issue they send replacement parts no arguments

Charbroils are absolute ass, I worked for them for some time, cheap shit

I mean you did ask here obviously it team Weber.

“Commercial series” for a portable 4 burner propane grill is hysterical. Only the highest level businesses would prepare their food on a small propane grill.

We bought a grill every 3rd year for years including several Charbroil… We’re on year 8 with a Weber and I have no reason to believe it won’t last another 8.
Wet_n00DLe15
Yes. I wish my gas grill was a Weber. I have a Char-broil and I hate it.

Weber. Our Spirit has caught on fire three times (our own fault for not cleaning it when we should), and it’s still going. You have to replace the gas tubes and flavor bars sometimes. This is a simple repair. Ours has cast iron grates. If you can find one with those, they will last forever. Our grill is, at minimum, 10 yrs old. We bought my dad a Charbroil grill at the same time, and it never cooked evenly. The grates bowed, and it was hard to light with the auto button. I believe Weber has replacement parts available for everything on the grill that you might replace.

I would never buy a gas grill that isn’t Weber anymore. The best part about Weber is that you can get replacement parts forever. You’ll be buying a new charbroil grill in 3-5 years when the internals rust and corrode. You’ll just have to buy a part when that happens on a Weber.
FYI, I don’t even have a gas grill anymore because I used to buy the $400 grills over and over again. Decided to switch to charcoal and still going strong on my 14 year old $90 kettle.

There is a stealth line at Lowe’s from Weber. Looks pretty nice IMO, check that one out while you’re at it.
