You will like the kafta bil laban, it’s a homey comfort dish
I like Kafta Bil Laban and all of the flavors of foods associated with cooked yogurt, just like Shish Barak, Kibbeh Bil Laban (Labanieh), Koussa Bil Laban and much more; try this homy comfort kafta Bil Laban aka Kafta with Yogurt for a delightful dinner, it deserves a spot in your regular lunch or dinner rotation.
Levant countries have long been known for their culinary specialties prepared with yogurt; if you’ve never cooked with yogurt before, Kafta Bil Laban/ Kafta Yogurt Casserole is a good start. The dish comes together in relatively quick steps, making it ideal for a busy midweek meal, I think of it when time is short, but still want something hearty and delicious. The best part is that it takes a few minutes to assemble and bake.

i like kfta banan and all the flavors of foods associated with cooked yogurt lean countries have long been known for their culinary specialties prepared with yogurt if you’ve never cooked with yogurt before kfta laban is a good start and now let’s get started to make the kfta or kufta pronouncing it depends on where you live and what country of origin you come from you need to separately dice the onions and parsley finally dicing both will yield a better looking and a more flavorful kefta use a sharp knife for best results dice the parsley take a bunch of parsley by holding it down and chopping it with a sharp knife shave shave it as fine as possible and make sure to leave the lower tough stems behind now dice the onions as fine as possible to release more onion flavor i think of making it when time is short but still want something hearty and delicious the best part that it takes a few minutes to assemble and bake now mix together the finely chopped parsley chopped onion and minced meat here you can use beef or lamb season with seven spice black pepper and salt and using your hands mix everything together to get a homogenized kefta bowl try this comfort kafa blean for a delightful dinner it deserves a spot in your regular lunch or dinner rotation slightly grease with olive oil around baking large baking dish and spread the kafa evenly and press it to something like half inch thick in an even layer there’s another great recipe very similar to kafab laban kafabini we’ll be sharing it with you in the near future now bake in a preheated oven to 400 Fahrenheit for about 15 minutes or until no pink meat left and slightly browned now while the kefta is in the oven let’s cook our yogurt in a pan combine together the yogurt tahini pomegranate molasses salt and egg whisk well and cook over medium heat whisking constantly until the mixture thickens now you can serve it with Lebanese bread or Arabic bread you can serve it too with Lebanese and rice vermicelli or you can serve it with plain rice if you want to keep it gluten-free now here the yogurt has reached a boiling point pour the yogurt evenly over the baked ga and return it back to the oven baking it for more 15 minutes meantime let’s toast the pine nuts heat 2 tablespoons of sunflower oil in a skillet and saute the pine nuts to a golden color now adding pine nuts is optional but highly recommended here our kefta is bubbling and right out of the oven sprinkle the pine nuts and serve warm and garnish with chopped parsley see how beautiful and appealing our dish is and wait until you taste it easy peasy and super satisfying now to keep it eggless you can substitute the egg with a spoonful of cornstarch diluted in a bit of water to slightly thicken the sauce it smells so good and ideal for a busy midweek meal and for a hot zingy flavor I’m adding my crushed habaneros here bread capabil and crushed habaneros out of the world good i hope you enjoyed this episode give me a thumbs up and follow if you do i would really appreciate your support make sure to check our website we have loads of Lebanese Middle Eastern and Mediterranean recipes thank you so much for watching
