La Goulue Palm Beach is the sister restaurant to La Goulue in New York City, the French restaurant founded in 1972 by restaurateur Jean Denoyer.
It’s the place on the island to go for classic French cuisine, including exquisite traditional French desserts.
We tried the Île Flottante Au Pralin, which translates to “floating island with praline.” The dish is prepared expertly with snow white meringue, hazelnut sauce and toasted almonds.
What is most stunning about this dessert’s presentation is the caramel cage, glistening like spun gold under the soft dining room lights. True eye candy!
This dessert is an art form. It is subtly sweet, with just the right balance of nutty warmth and vanilla creaminess. The toasted almonds add a satisfying crunch and contrast beautifully with the melt-in-your-mouth meringue.
Every bite of the Île Flottante delivers textures and tones that speak to La Goulue’s Parisian roots—refined, elegant, and indulgent without excess.
Francophile and dessert lovers will agree that this is a sweet treat worth the money and the calories.
