Well, what an absolute joy it has been meeting these wonderfully creative women at the BellaRose Craft Studio in Warwick!
Today, I had the pleasure of making my favourite sweet treat honey puffs (loukoumades) and sharing them with these lovely ladies.
Let me tell you, even the display stand got some love, so I think it’s safe to say I succeeded in creating something a little bit scrumptious!
Stay tuned for tomorrow… I’ll be whipping up my next round of desserts for these inspiring, crafty queens. Can’t wait to sweeten the creative magic once again!

zero hello everybody nice to see you again mara here and of course I’m at the beautiful establishment at Glen Rose Cottages here in Wik this week I am actually entertaining and hosting for the Bellar Rose Creative Studio now for a quick one today is because I’m going to be making lots of sweets this week every morning I’m gonna come on about 10 o’clock but today I think we’re running a bit late because I was waiting for my cousin Michelle to arrive and she’s filming today so we have a new film mr bill had to stay home so you know he can’t do everything so as everybody’s seen before we’re going to make some honey puffs now this time I’m going to drizzle the honey puffs at the end when I cook them i’m going to drizzle it with caramel sauce and then I’m going to put beautiful walnuts and dust it with icing sugar so very easy on the stove we’ve just got a pan at the moment that has got the oil and it’s always good to have either olive oil or vegetable oil don’t use the canola oil no not healthy for you and in this pan here I’ve got beautiful honey that’s come all the way from Warrick because um we have our the other cousin that has beehives and he sent me the honey and in it I’ve just got some cinnamon some cloves an just to give it that perfection pretty good camera person you are Michelle so we’ll just leave that at the moment so over here very easy now as for honey puffs ladies and gents because I know there’s a few of you watching you can put two cups of of flour but I have learned the traditional way and the traditional way is that we never had measuring cups my yay my mother always used to put in a whole tub of flour and you know now we have 1 kilos we have 2 kilos those days they were using bags so I’m just going to put enough because all these women are really really looking forward to it to having honey puffs today so I’m going to make a little bit more than normal because they’re very hungry and we do have some new ladies for the first time here at Glenor Rose and um they’re going to experience my all my cooking so just flour and of course you need to put some salt which if I know how to open up half of this stuff oh there we are so put some salt to give the actual dough a little bit of a lift and then all you do is you just keep adding water until the consistency ready to put it into the pan so if you put too much water it doesn’t matter you put more flour in ladies that means more flour more local mothers look mothers is the Greek way to say honey puff so we just keep stirring and stirring keep putting some water in until you get the perfect consistency to cook it into and dip it into the oil how you going there Colleen very well Ma oh that’s good now I had to go to the hairdressers last week because I was not happy with the beehive she did for me she straightened my hair and I can’t straighten my hair all the time so I decided to go and recomb my hair so Mika is going to stay like this because I don’t want to have the beehive anymore where’s all my other beautiful ladies see they don’t want to come and learn how to cook because Marita is here they all just sit on the craft tables and just craft so they just wait for Mara to cook but I like to cook anyways so as you can see it’s getting there but you got to keep stirring ladies and gentlemen put a little bit more water hello Miss Bridey
hello Ma
how are you darlings
i’m well hungry
you’re hungry hungry
you just woke up see what I mean you know they go to bed at 12:00 they say they’re going to bed at 9 and then when you go into the room they’re still talking to 11 12:00 you know and we got a new lady or ladies here where’s Marianne where are you Marianne
i’m over here hiding
are you hiding why are you hiding marianne oh you know you cannot embarrass Marita darling trust me you could never embarrass Ma ma does enough embarrassment for herself so it doesn’t matter so the consistency as you can see see how it’s still got a bit of a grab onto the spatula you need that you don’t need it runny see how it’s it still sticks that’s the way you need to have it
nice
nice car nice
yes i think it’s getting nice too so instead of waiting for about a thousand of these things to be done I’m just going to wash my hands over here and I should always have a towel over me which I normally do i’m going to cook i’m going to put a few in the pan so you can see and then when we come back I will show you what the finishing product is so we’ll do a second video when I’m drizzling everything over that you can actually see what the last result is so I’ll just get a spoon if I know where half of the place is because it’s the it seems to change every time I comes now just to let you know we are going to have three retreats next year here at Glen Ross and we’re going to take over the mana and the cottages and we’re going to have two paper craft retreats and one quilting retreat next year so the dates will be available to you um I think in about two weeks time because we’ve got to organize everything so Kaz if you come over here this oil must be hot and I’m just going to show you normally I do it with my hands with gloves but I’ll do it with a spoon today we just drop it in now you must use self-raising flour peoples and as you can see very easy i will do it with my fingers shortly now we’re working with gas which is awesome i love gas so I’d like to thank everybody for joining in i will make this and then I’ll come back and show you what the finishing product is for now yas until later bye
bye
