MASSACHUSETTS — Welcome to Patch’s weekly round up of food and restaurant news in Massachusetts, where we review openings, closings and more in the state’s dining scene.

This week, we learned that a fast-growing, fast-casual restaurant has opened another location in Massachusetts, this time in Beverly.

CAVA, which offers bowls, pitas, dips and dressings, combined with an emphasis on hospitality and serving others, opened to the public on Friday after a company-wide Community Day project that raised money for Acord Food Pantry.

The Beverly location — at 47 Dodge Street, Suite A-230 — is the 14th in Massachusetts for the nationwide chain. It is open daily from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m.

CAVA said its new Beverly restaurant will employ 25 to 40 North Shore residents. It is the company’s 16th Massachusetts location.
