Been wanting a grill for a while. Came just in time for 4th of July. Just made some simple hamburgers (first time ever!). Had trouble keeping the temp high after the initial burn off. A YouTuber I watched a vid of said “if you lookin you ain’t cookin” so I figured to do just that and left them in longer with the low heat. Worked out great. Tastes delicious, not burnt at all. Well worth the money

You won’t be disappointed! Charcoal has a steep learning curve but there are tons of helpful guides.

Dude I have been cooking charcoal only for a couple years and all we use is the chimney starters worth of charcoal for everything.

I’ve had mine for just over 15yrs, I have only had to change the grate. Take care of it, and it will take care of you. Congrats.

Was that the doneness you were going for? A thermapen makes hitting the perfect temperature a breeze, my best investment other than the grill itself.

You made yourself four cheeseburgers ……..nice

You gonna eat all 4 of those burgers, or are you saving one for me? 😉

  7. Are you grilling inside your garage? Probably safer to wheel it outside

  8. You just immensely improved your life and I’m happy for you!! Get your hands on some good lump charcoal and you’ll get better cooks. You can get it hotter when you want and run it low and slow when you want to other times. Last a lot longer than briquettes without nearly as much ash. Fogo brand is my favorite. Happy 4th!

Grilling inside your garage is a great way to kill yourself. Definitely want to be at least a couple feet out from under the roof. I’m sure this will get comments about people who “do it all the time”. But carbon monoxide is no joke.

There is nothing on those burgers. Meat n bread

If you’re not already, use a chimney starter, not liquid boyscout. Took me a min when I first went to charcoal to realize this.

You and your family did not grill or barbecue growing up how strange

  13. Great job! Yours look just like the way I cook mine! But have you ever heard of mayo, ketchup, mustard, lettuce, tomatoes, onions or pickles? Lol

“Here’s mine. It’s a hamburger, made out of meat, on a bun, with nothing. Add ketchup if you want, I couldn’t care less.”

  19. Just started grilling. Decided to start with a rack of ribs. Burned the ever living crap out of them. Tried again the next week and was better. Did hamburgers and hot dogs next and did ok. Did Rob’s again and they were fire.

Just got some lobster tails and shrimp to try next. I plan on failing but am so stoked to be grilling!

    Keep on keepin on!
