Hi! I’m a hobby baker who’s taking the leap to sell cookies! I made these last night for a picnic with friends and would love some feedback!
Things I’m working on (but seriously any feedback would be great).
1. Wet on wet – the dots are a little clunky
2. Getting to the edges
3. Overall design
4. Food photography!!!
Thanks!

1. When doing wet on wet, make your dots smaller than they need to be so if they spread it’s okay. Use a thinner icing for flooding, let it sit for a couple of seconds and then use a slightly thicker icing for the details
2. Getting to the edges can be tricky depending on the design. I often dip my cookies when I need the flood to be just one color or go all the way to the edges. These actually look pretty good on that front, I’ve found that dipping is the only way for me to get all the way to the edge without dripping off.
3. Overall design: There’s nothing wrong with these, it’s notna design I’m personally into but it’s a cute idea. Pinterest is definitely a good design resource for me. You may have to practice this all a little bit more before you’re ready to sell, again these look fine but they do lack a certain amount of detail and skill work.
4. As for photography, this photo looks okay. Consider using natural lighting and different angles (again, Pinterest/Instagram are great for this) and get familiar with an editing app of your choice to enhance, even if it’s just the one built into your phone. I currently use Snapseed but am considering LightRoom or similar.
