OK pepper people, need some help. My Jalafuegos are doing great, around 1kg per week from four plants. I put about a kg into each of these 3pint masons to ferment so am going to run out of counterspace in no time. Anyway, here’s the question. My habanada’s suddenly started getting light green leaves as per the pic. No aphids, I keep them under control. I’m guessing fertilizer so will add some fish fertilizer today but wondering if it is anything else to watch out for as these are finally starting to turn color and I don’t want them to die!

My peppers were all yellowish until we had a few days break from this rain. (Ohio)
good plan with the 5-1-1 as long as you don’t overwater them
I’m pretty sure that discoloration pattern (yellowing between the veins) is a magnesium deficiency. You should be fertilizing regularly anyway, so I’d just be sure to add something with magnesium
God damn nice corking
I don’t have an exact answer as I have experienced this in the past and couldn’t get help no matter how much I posted about it. But throwing more fertilizer at it didn’t seem to solve the problem either. From spending many hours researching it seems to be a viral infection or herbicide drift from either you spraying in your yard or neighbor’s spraying. I don’t use herbicide but my neighbors do so I’m learning towards that as my problem.
The jalafuegos, scotch bonnets, habaneros green onions, cucumbers and dill are doing great in the exact same soil. I fertilized once in 8 year but I fully turn my beds twice a year (all the soil out and back in… two 5’x10’x3’ beds, my back hurts thinking about it). I test pH when I turn and adjust. If anything, my pH has been slightly low from the peat moss I added one year. I’ve got bags of perlite in them to keep it light and I dump a full compost load in each bed at least once a year (the compost takes all the organic waste from the home, the grass trimmings and was started with about 1000 worms….its tough to keep it fed!). I gave them some fish fertilizer and will watch. If it doesn’t work, it’s chemical time. the beds may be organic but my front lawn is a chemistry lab….
Get some general hydroponics maxi series, bloom and grow, 1 scoop per gallon, and ph
