Recipe:

Coat ribs in your favorite seasoning blend (I used Kinder Santa Maria)

Place in crockpot on high for 3 hours

After 3 hours, drizzle/coat your ribs with your favorite BBQ sauce (I used a chipotle pineapple BBQ sauce also from Kinder)

Cook on low for 2-2.5 more hours

Remove and brush down with more BBQ sauce.

Throw under the broiler for 5 min per side.

Serve with rice and a quick dry slaw.

What type of ribs did you use? Pork? Beef? What cut? I hope it’s not annoying that I’m asking…I always want to try ribs, but I don’t know what to buy.

I think you have done well for it being a tiny apartment. I would accept the invite.

A few drops of liquid smoke works like a champ.

My mom used to do this with country style ribs.

I always make ribs in the oven and they come out perfect every time. The guys that say otherwise are just trying to justify their traeger purchase.

I dry rub them, wrap in foil, let sit overnight in fridge, cook low & slow for 3.5 to 4 hours (250° F), open foil, slather on some Devil’s Spit or other BBQ sauce, broil for 3 minutes.

I did a couple slabs like this last week. Delicious.

If you’re having a BarBQ, these are great. Dry rub & bake in the over a few hours. Then, just do the last two steps on the grill. They only need like 4 or 5 minutes on the grill. So, you can cook your burgers or brats as well. Everything is ready to serve in under 20 minutes. So, you can get back to your guests.

This is for baby back ribs. You may need to adjust cook time for other types of ribs.

  8. Great job, they look so tasty, I’m gonna try that in mine. Hope they were tasty?
