I love this, you got everything down pretty well but I would personally recommend for those looking to get full size/larger onions to store in a much larger container with each cutting/bulb spaced out more, and layer with compost/leaf litter stuff every while, they love lots of proper nutrients to grow and especially lots of water
The amount of poor misinformed people who think this is how you get more onions when I actuality they come from seeds & bulbs and this is nome of those.. 😂
All is gonna do is give you a bunch of flowers and no bulbs. The plant at this point is too old. You could eat the greens, but that's it. You could also harvest seeds.

This is wrong.
The greens will produce a flower that will seed then you can plant the seeds to get a bulb onion.
You'll grow sprouts, not onions. Onion sets are bulbs and must winter over to produce new onions in the fall.
Any older comments about how this has worked? Tried it for at least two years or just a hype?
