LEDYARD, CT — A Foxwoods restaurant has closed while two new eateries have opened in the Tanger Outlets connected to the resort casino.

Italian restaurant Caputo Trattoria has shut its doors. The restaurant closed Thursday, according to Christina Hankin, a Foxwoods representative.

The restaurant posted the following on its website:

“We are sad to announce that Caputo Trattoria has closed its doors. Thank you to all of our patrons for joining us these last years, and to our staff for all their hard work.”

The Daily Breakfast has moved next door to David Burke Prime Steakhouse, “so you can still join us every morning for our signature all-you-can-eat buffet and full a la carte breakfast menu,” according to Caputo Trattoria’s website.

Meanwhile, Yummy Bite opened in late December in the Tanger Outlets at Foxwoods. The cafe and bakery is on the main level across from Eddie Bauer.

The store offers “a daily selection of fresh bakery items, paired with an array of freshly brewed coffee and a variety of premium teas,” according to Yummy Bite’s Ahu Avsa.

“Our store is designed to offer a convenient and affordable stop for shoppers, providing quick and ready-to-eat bakery items, as well as customizable options like noodle dishes, mac & cheese, and pasta,” Avsa said. “We hope to fill an important need at Tanger Outlets and provide a delightful experience for all our visitors!”

Seoul Alley is another new addition at the outlet mall. The mall posted on social media last month about the restaurant’s impending opening in Suite 100 at the Fox Tower entrance of the mall.

Seoul Alley held a soft opening Dec. 26 and its hours “will be expanded and updated as the restaurant opens more fully,” Hankin said.

The restaurant offers “Korean cuisine that is a unique blend of bold flavors, (and) diverse ingredients that have evolved through the country’s rich and dynamic culture.”

The Seoul Alley team is led by veteran New York City chefs with more than 30 years of combined experience.

A celebrity chef will also open a restaurant at the resort casino this spring. Momosan will be the seventh location of Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto’s restaurant.
