CINCINNATI (Cincinnati Business Courier) – Situated in Cincinnati’s West Side, a treasured ice cream and mini golf business has undergone an ownership change.
After a year of being on the market, the owners of General Custer’s Golf & Gulp at 3325 Westbourne Drive – Kathi and Keith Heinlein – posted on Facebook June 18 to announce their retirement and the sale of the West Side establishment. After 20 years owning the business, the couple said in the post it’s time for them to relax and spend time with their grandchildren.
“It took us a while to sell the place and we were concerned about who might buy it and what would happen to the place,” Kathi Heinlein told Cincinnati Business Courier. “Then we met Carlena and Gene, and we were just so thrilled. It took forever for everything to go through, but we were just so excited because they were the right people. We found the right people.”
