First experience with Alec’s, on sale for $5.99. This price is as high as I recommend going for this one, which is to say that it’s pretty good and unique but not mind-blowing. My two concerns were that 1) the chocolate would overwhelm the peanut butter, and 2) the honeycomb would be unbearably sticky. Both concerns were met favorably. Peanut butter remains the prominent flavor here and the bits of honeycomb are pleasant and unobtrusive. This flavor would really standout, though, if it tasted a bit more like honey. The honeycomb being covered in chocolate tones down that taste. If Alec would add a honey swirl, this flavor would elevate to the next level.

Thanks for the review and pics. I’ve never been drawn to the brand because of cost and the flavors seemed pretty basic. I’m not usually concerned about ingredients to the point of buying organic ice cream but understand some people are.
All of that said when I picked up a pint at WF I was surprised at how light it was, and the cal count backed it up. Good to know this sale is the best price point.
I wasn’t much of a fan of it. The ice cream has this off putting grainy texture to it that I really didn’t like. Jeni’s Salted Peanut Butter with Chocolate Flakes is a much better PB ice cream that has bits of chocolate imo.
Appreciate the pic of the inside. I was imagining more of a Tillamook approach to fudge, and this one…lol is not gonna cut it for me at that price point. Good to know, thank you for your service!
Tbf, honeycomb candy usually does not contain actual honey. But honey and pb would taste great together
I love this ice cream so much. There is always a pint in my freezer. Alecs is the only brand of ice cream that doesn’t mess up my stomach.
