Visiting from Dubai and kicked off the trip with two heavy hitters. Snagged a 2pm lunch res at Carbone (booked in advance)

Started with the Carpaccio and Eggplant & Zucchini Scapece, both were good, not mind-blowing. But the mains delivered, the Spicy Rigatoni Vodka totally lived up to the hype, Fettuccine con Funghi was rich and flavorful, and the Meatballs were fire. (Tried Emilio Ballato’s the next day and Carbone’s were way better, IMO)

Wife’s favorite was the carrot cake, super moist and surprisingly standout. Honestly, Carbone gets too much hate here. Overall experience was great

Later that evening, hit L’industrie for their Margherita pie, hands down the best I’ve had in my life.

Pro tip I picked up from this sub: order online ~30 minutes ahead. We skipped the insane line (longest I’ve seen in NYC so far) and picked up with no problem
