Just in time for Bastille Day, a new bistro with Parisian-inspired offerings is set to open this Friday in Crystal City.

Bar Colline plans to offer French-American cuisine at 269 19th Court S. A sister to Cafe Colline on Langston Blvd, the bistro will join a growing mix of retail and dining at The Grace and Reva apartments.

“We want Bar Colline to be the kind of place where you come for a quick glass of wine and suddenly find yourself staying for dinner,” co-founder Ian Hilton said in a release.

A menu of ‘comforting classics’

The restaurant is led by veteran restaurateurs Ian and Eric Hilton of the hospitality group H2 Collective. They’re the same brothers behind Cafe Colline and Chez Billy Sud in D.C.
Chef Brendan L’Etoile’s menu features steak frites, croque madame and confit de canard, with sides like chickpea fritters and chilled corn soup.
A 50-foot wraparound bar at the restaurant’s center will offer wines, house cocktails and local beers.

It has a patio and private dining

With seating for up to 230 guests, Bar Colline includes outdoor tables for up to 40 patrons and a 16-seat private dining room.
A daily “Red, White and Rosé” happy hour from 3-6 p.m. will offer $6 glasses of wine.
The bistro will be open from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
