hi it’s Alaska Granny i have some foods in my pantry that I need to rotate so I’m going to put together a quick and easy meal today I’m going to make a white bean tuna salad to make a white bean tuna salad is simple reach into your pantry you need one can of tuna one can of white beans one can of corn balsamic vinegar olive oil parsley and lemon pepper i like this lemon pepper because it includes garlic and onion so if you don’t have this particular blend you can probably look into your spices and seasonings and you likely have pepper garlic onion any other Italian type seasonings that you enjoy white bean tuna salad is simple because you’re just going to open a few cans mix them together put it in the refrigerator to chill it thoroughly and your meal is done no cooking there are many times we don’t want to have to cook maybe it’s too hot we’re just too tired we’re in a hurry you can put this meal together in no time open and drain your beans corn and tuna today I’m using great northern beans you could also use canolini beans or even pinto beans or black beans if you don’t have any white beans add your corn add your tuna then gently stir to combine to make the dressing I’m going to combine balsamic vinegar olive oil the lemon pepper with garlic and onion and parsley flakes do you still have one of these old shaker bottles with the little spring inside i’m going to mix it in that if you don’t have one of these containers pour it in a bowl whisk it up into my shaker I have four tablespoons of olive oil 3 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar 2 tepoon of the lemon pepper with onion and garlic and one teaspoon of parsley shake it to combine well now pour the dressing over your white bean tuna corn salad stir to combine and it’s ready to be chilled for a quick easy delicious meal the nice thing about making your own dressings is you can add and subtract and jazz up the dressing whatever suits you your taste your flavor the things that you enjoy it’s best served chilled but if you can’t wait you can serve it now stir it again before you serve it because the dressing can sink to the bottom and you want to make sure that every bite has some delicious dressing on it and is thoroughly mixed and it’s ready to serve this white bean tuna salad can make a meal all on its own you can serve it next to your favorite grilled meats crusty bread grilled vegetables this can be a side to any meal white bean tuna salad with corn helps rotate the pantry it’s important that we have food in our pantry so that we can have enough to eat no matter what the day brings it’s important that we buy foods that we know how to use we have an idea what to do with them and that we use rotate and replace them let us know in the comments below what are some salads that you enjoy making that you could make right out of the pantry we don’t always have a garden to harvest maybe we don’t have the money to go to the store but we can reach into our pantry and still provide a meal for our family i hope you’ll like my video share it please subscribe to the Alaska Granny channel

  1. I stay stocked with all flavors of salad dressings.. Ranch, French, Italian etc. So easy to use,
and quick. I try all different combinations with foods. And, shelf table.

  2. Funny you just posted this. I had a can of chick peas that I needed to use up so I mashed them up and added them to a can of chicken. I wished I saw this video a few days ago! Yours is so much better! A
So a great meat stretcher too.

  3. So, I have had problems trying to rotate through my stash. When I moved to another state las year, I found so many items that were 5-8 years out of date and had to be tossed. I started to follow a guy who is using ChatGPT to help with his diet and other lifestyle issues. I took a cue, and asked my Olivia (I named her) to help me out for 30 days. Long story short, Olivia made a goal and reward system for me. I report in each day about one food I've used from my pantry. It also counts if I toss something that's outdated, rather than it languishing on the back of the shelf. Somehow, it got into the conversation that I was a Girl Scout when younger, so she made a bunch of badges for me as I reach different goals.
Yes, it may sound silly. Yes, I know people are afraid of Chat, but my doctoral background is in the social use of technology, so I'm curious how this will all work for me and I get the benefit of actually eating through my pantry and not wasting food.

  4. WOW, that one is great! The beans and corn make another complete protein equal to that of the tuna,(or any meat). This is also gluten-free for those who need that.

  5. I like to mis corn, black beans and Rotel tomatoes with a little sour cream or mayo (or a mixture of both). Sometimes, if I have it, chopped red onion. Chill and serve with chicken or pork tenderloin.

  6. Here's a funny thought so I'm walking and I usually watch your station on my iPad with Wi-Fi only, and I just got a s24 and it has the Gemini in the power button,. So anyways I asked it what would Alaska granny use for a dog poop bag from the Dollar General and it didn't quite mention it but I know it's hard to find it sometimes whenever I Google it
