So I have been wanting to get a kettle and start trying to bbq with charcoal. I found this kettle premium on marketplace for $40 and they included 2 18lb bags of kingsford original briquettes. Not free like the other dude who just got one lol but I feel still a great deal.

I have a pellet smoker, gas grill, and griddle and wanted to try something different. Never been a huge fan of charcoal just because lighting the charcoal would take forever and by the time it was hot I felt the coals would burn off too fast but I only ever use cheap $20 charcoal grills.

Going to try and clean the grill grates but not sure if I might have to replace.

Open to and tips, tricks and recommendations you guys have to share with me. I did pick up a chimney starter on my way home.

Do you have a charcoal chimney? It only takes about 20 minutes to heat up a full chimney of coal, which isn’t too long. Light em, go prep your food, and usually the coals are ready by the time you go back outside.
