Hey, what’s up y’all? It’s Darius from Darius Cookooks.tv. And this is two ingredient game. Now listen, today’s ingredients are absolutely astounding. Two of my absolute favorites. One is shrimp and the other is whiskey. And we’re going to put it together in a beautiful juke joint shrimp scampy. Pasta’s all done and it’s hanging out just so it can cool off. So, to make this amazing juke joint shrimp scampy, I’m going to start by just lightly sautéing some shrimp. We’re going to season it with a little bit of salt and pepper. That’s it. And then we’ll get started on this beautiful sauce that is going to compliment the shrimp and the pasta perfectly. I’m going to start by adding some olive oil. And then to the olive oil, I’m going to add in a couple of tablespoons of butter. As the butter and the olive oil melts, here’s what I like to do. I like to season uh the mixture. So there’s my salt. That way I’m going to ensure that my shrimp have a little bit of flavor. Here is my black pepper. And uh just for good measure, you know, I got a little bit of herbs day pants hanging out. So let’s add that now into this mixture. Let’s add our shrimp. And we’re just going to cook our shrimp just for a few moments. See? And we’re just going to cook the shrimp just slightly. So they’re not all the way cooked. So I’m going to take them out. And then what we have now is a lot of extra flavor in the pan to work with. So, let’s use that. And why don’t we sauté some veggies. So, I have So, I have a little bit of onion and garlic. You could be shallots, it could be onion, whatever you want. And because the oil is already seasoned, we don’t need to add any more salt and pepper. So, we give that a toss. And if the pan gets a little little dried, then we’ll just do a little bit more olive oil. Just like that. And then we’ll cook this for a few moments until those vegetables are nice and tender. So, as you can see, those vegetables are now beautifully softened. It’s amazingly aromatic in here. Now, to make the sauce, I did say that this was going to be a juke joint shrimp scampy. So, I’m going to add in some whiskey, Tennessee whiskey on top of that and a little flame. Now, we’re going to add in some lemon juice. And I don’t know about you, but I do want to add a little bit more butter. One stick of butter goes in. And we’ll get that butter with that whiskey all melted. And then to that, here’s our stock. A little bit of stock right in there. All right. And we’ll jack this heat all the way up and get our sauce really going. I’m going to put my shrimp right back into the sauce so they can start to finish cooking and then soak up some of that amazing sauce that we have. All right. And then I’m going to toss in my pasta. All right. And I’m just going to give this a toss just to make sure I’m picking up the sauce as I add it. To that, I’m going to add in a handful of fresh parsley. And then here’s some fresh grated Parmesan cheese right in. All right, this shrimp scampy is out of the pan. And I gotta tell you something. Juke joint shrimp scampy smells y’all. Shut up. Okay, my shrimp scampy is out. And this is such a quick one, but it’s loaded with amazing flavor. So, this has that whiskey in it and so I’m here for it. The first bite in, I’m getting garlic and lemon. And the anointing is here. Okay, you got to give this a try, y’all. It’s so good. This is the shrimp. Big juicy jumbo shrimp. Yes. Yes. Very good.
