Oscar-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow was spotted indulging in comfort food at The Corner Store in New York City on Friday, marking a departure from her famous wellness routine.

The Goop founder, who recently talked about her on-screen celebrity kiss and commented on Kate Middleton’s recent health problems, ordered a $35 Wagyu French Dip sandwich, $12 Classic Sea Salt fries, and an $18 Samoa Sundae while dining with friend Amy Griffin and another companion, according to eyewitnesses.

Reality TV personality Morgan Stewart was seen at an adjacent booth.

The meal comes nearly two years after Paltrow faced criticism for discussing her restrictive eating habits on the Art of Being Well podcast, where she revealed practicing intermittent fasting and consuming primarily bone broth for lunch and paleo food for dinner.

Former The View co-host Meghan McCain had criticized Paltrow for “broadcasting” and “selling” the lifestyle through her wellness brand, Goop.

“I eat full meals,” Paltrow stated.

“I also have days where I eat whatever I want, French fries or whatever.”

Representatives for Paltrow did not immediately respond to requests for comment about her recent dining experience.
