Grabbed this cuz it was 25% off at my local hardware. I go to light it with my JJ George torch and I’m getting sparks flying back. Maybe I was just a little too aggressive with the torch, but anyone else had this with FOGO?

Most of the time no, but actually on my most recent cook I was getting quite a bit of sparking and crackling

I use Fogo almost all the time once in a blue moon it’s Sparky but not usually. It’s actually one of my favorite Brands to use

Yes, on the current yellow bag I have.

My last 2 bags were mostly crumbs. Big pieces were golf ball sized. Not a lot of sparks, just too hard to get hot. I’m done with Fogo for now. Maybe next pallet will be better bags.

My last bag from Fogo was not the greatest. Some random plastic and the last 1/5 of it was very small particles and dust. Bought at Lowes or HD.

YES! My most recent bag of it was by far the most sparks I’ve ever had with charcoal in quite a few years of grilling

I’ve been getting big chunks with black bag the last two purchases. But in the past, I’ve gotten crumbs that ended up being Sparky. to be honest, the sparks are annoying, but once my burn gets going it’s not a big deal.

Ha. Thanks for the replies. Glad I’m not the only one! I might just need an apron of sorts when I’m lighting it to protect my shirt. I already have a spark hole in one.

I’ve had a lot of sparks, small pieces, bits of twigs and such. I’ve been getting it at Home Depot and I swear that they destroy their charcoal.

Had so much ash coming up from my last grill with this bag

Just want to be clear. It wasn’t this bag that was 25% off, it was a 70th anniversary and everything was 25% off. I probably should have grabbed another egg and not mentioned it to the wife…
