I have been using the Winco medium weight 16" tongs (cost about $7) for many years but the other day the wife suggested maybe it was time for an upgrade. Been looking at the Weber Precision tongs and the Blackstone Signature tongs. What do you use?

I actually just got new ones. OXO were often suggested when I researched. I went with those. 7″, 12″ and 16″.

  2. Edlund 12″ non-locking heavy-duty tongs. Similar to, but better than the Wincos. Made in the USA.

Edlund heavy duty stainless tongs 16”. Locking with the scalloped shaped end! MADE IN AMERICA. tough as nails. The only tong you’ll need. I have 3 different sizes and shapes for all my tonging needs!

If they don’t make a loud click, they are useless

I buy them based on the, “Click” they give

These get the job done just long enough to manage the heat

These exact ones from the restaurant supply depot

I always buy something nice and just want to go back to using the really cheap metal ones I took from catering events like the ones in the photo before they got tossed in the trash.

Keep the WinCo, that’s what most professional kitchens use. The best answer is to go to your local restaurant supply store and grab stuff there.

The ones your grandmother uses that are made of bent metal wire lol

I like the cheapos but I prefer a 12″ pair. The 16″ are too long and don’t give as much control. I have the Weber tongs but I’m not really a fan. The teeth on the tongs messes up my bark.

Get a set that you pull a tab on the end so they lock in place for storage
