The bottom leaves often suffer first, they simply did their job at the time and are producing less energy than they’re using. Nothing to worry about if the new growth looks good, make sure your watering is on point – saturate – wait till almost dry – repeat, you’re fertilizing with 3:1:2 NPK ratio in veg, lower N and higher K in bloom. Also make sure treatments with magnesium and calcium are somewhere in your fertilizer routine a couple times through the season, as well as microelements.

Edit: Reason why I mention watering and feeding, is that yellowing indicates resources (mobile nutrients like N and Mg) being pulled back in the plant, from the leaves. If it has everything it needs it will often just drop the unneeded leaves green.

In my own humble opinion, yellow leaves that fall off at the touch are from over watering.

Are they potted or in ground?
Are there holes in the pot for drainage?
Did you use the right kind of soil in ground?
A raised bed with standard dirt can choke out plants from poor drainage.
Potting soil in the ground can flood the plant from poor drainage.
