So, as the title says, i have spent a few days in France as a holiday trip and was fortunate enough to try some great bottles, like:

PYCM Meursault Charmes 16. This was utterly increadible, great acidity, yellow fruit and an eternal finish. The best Meursault I have had so far. ( Only had photo of the cork, forgot to take one of the bottle… )

Geroges Roumier Les Cras 99. The first thing, It felt so young and had lots of live ahead. Dark fruit and very elegant, I could have been only smelling at would have been equally Happy.

J.L Chave 90. This one a half bottle, but delivered as a powerhouse. Lots of trouffle, and leather on the mouth with a nose that was like a deep wet forest. It was my first are Chave and did not disapointed.

Coche – Dury Bourgone 22. Not at the level of the previously mentioned wines, but the BEST bourgone i have drink for sure, could have been mistsken perfectly for a Meursault village, and had great complexity, but would not pay what they are going for where i live ( between 300/350 ).

Yquem 75. Deep color, the nose was eternal and powefull, with apricots and caramel being the main players. On the mouth It was almost overwhelming, as It was neverending, lots of layers of flavours with enough acidity to balance them. I felt in love with It.

My guy just sent me two 2022 Coche BBs because his distributor screwed him on his PYCM allocation this year. Never had Coche, but sad to see you’re ranking it below PYCM! Do you think you drank the Coche too young?
