McConnell’s Banana Cream with Toffee-ettes. WOW!

I picked up a pint of Double Peanut Butter Chip at WF last week. My son polished it off in one sitting and said, “That could very well be the best ice cream I’ve ever eaten in my life”. So I decided to place an online order and try for myself.

The order was delivered yesterday, 4 days after placing the order. Well packaged in dry ice and fully frozen despite sitting on my porch all day in 90 degree heat. I received the following flavors: Double Peanut Butter Chip, Banana Cream with Toffee-ettes, Peppermint Stick, and Strawberries & Shortbread Cookies.

I sped home from work and immediately ripped into the pint of Banana Cream with Toffee-ettes. This is one of their collabs with See’s Candies and… holy crap. This stuff is GOOD. High quality, with a super creamy, non-artificial tasting, ripe banana base. Salted caramel swirled generously and chunks of almond butter toffee mixed well throughout. I’m not a huge fan of nuts, but this was absolutely delectable. They did not skimp on the mix-ins, and the ice cream was the perfect balance of salty, sweet, rich, fresh, and creamy.

I kind of went on an ice cream buying frenzy this past week with my son who is home from college for the summer, so I’ll post a few more reviews as we continue to work our way through the freezer lol. I’ve gotten several flavors from Alec’s, Jeni’s, Van Leeuwen’s and McConnell’s. McConnell’s (in my opinion) is by far the best of the bunch.
