Boiled for about 15 minutes the hit it with some spray butter , Danos Cheesoning, and some crazy salt. I have high hopes

I do it all the time. Boiling first was a good idea to speed it along otherwise it takes a long time but it picks up smoke flavor well.

I’m here for this…. Just because it isn’t meat doesn’t mean it doesn’t belong on the sub.

  3. Nice brick setup. 👍

Haven’t considered smoking cauliflower. I like it quite a bit, but nobody else does around here.

Tons of times. I like to mix equal parts tikka masala sauce and bbq sauce, rub it on the cauliflower heads and then smoke until there’s good color and they’re tender.

Yes. It just takes forever. Like a lot longer than you think it would.

Looks good. How’d it taste and was it the correct tenderness for you?

I love cooking veggies on the grill but never smoked them. How long did you put that on for?

Smoke it all the time. Chop it up and cover it with cheese, then smoke that… Soooo good

Hell ya! And put it in boiled crawfish!

Many times. Works out great. Just marinate it and plop it on. Good on the air fryer too.

One of my favorites. Great medium for experimenting with flavors.

Edit: I boil it half that long.

I have a relative that can’t have any animal protein. So I smoke her cauliflower heads and acorn squash. Both are delicious.

  13. Dip that in some buffalo sauce when it’s done. Super tasty.

Lmao spray butter. My brother in Christ it’s not butter

Did my first one yesterday. Five mins boiled, drizzled with left over Indian food sauces the fam had picked the meat of 12/10 will make again

I would totally do this then toss them in buttery buffalo sauce because I’m a silly fat piece of shit like that.

  17. InkyFingers60

Yep, and you can sauce it or oil it up with olive oil and press Greek herbs and feta into the crevices. Dee-licious

Cauliflower is mostly water, which soaks up smoke flavor very quickly. You were right to blanch it first, otherwise it could become overwhelmingly smokey before it’s done cooking.

Smoked broccoli is amazing too. I put olive oil, Tony chachere’s, and ranch seasoning on mine.

  20. When it’s soft enough you should make purée with some cream. Tastes awesome.

I steamnt them first before smoking. They take smoke quick so it helps from them overcooking by smoking.

I’d love to try this. I have so many veggie/vegan friends that I want to cook for!

  23. they_call_me_Mongous

Never thought of doing that, but I have done smoked red grapes. Put them on for an hour, just enough to warm up and get some smokiness, and enjoy a sweet and savory snack!

  24. Cocacola_Desierto

hello yes I fucking love cauliflower and I’ve never done this for some reason

  25. BackItUpWithLinks

I’ve done thick cut buffalo cauliflower “steaks”

    They’re excellent.
