I’m in Canada and when my parents went to the states last week, they brought me back some sugar free jello pudding in cheesecake and chocolate.

I was so so excited to try the cheesecake but I could barely eat it. It has such an unappealing after taste.

I wanted to try it as pudding before using it in recipes (I’ve seen lots where they use it with Greek yogurt, etc).

Is the off taste just me?

Any tips to make it taste better?

I’m really hoping the chocolate is better 😭

The chocolate is way better!!! The cheesecake flavor isn’t my favorite.

I like it with Greek yogurt. Brings out more of an authentic cheesecake flavor

Mix it with cottage cheese that you put in the blender so it’s smooth

Yeah the cheesecake one is probably the worst, it’s got a super fake taste to it. The chocolate and vanilla ones are better

I bought a cheesecake one instead of vanilla once on accident and I just mixed it with the chocolate one and powered through.

  5. Add frozen/slightly thawed berries. Adds nice sweetness and takes away from the cheesecake “bite”. I also mix the flavors, like add some vanilla mix to it too.

Add a can of pumpkin and a scoop of vanilla protein powder. Pumpkin pie spices.

I make this all the time.

The white chocolate flavor is my favorite! Never liked the cheesecake one

I add fresh lemon juice so it tastes more like cheesecake.

Add to a tub of cool whip, add some milk and then freeze. Basically turns into ice cream

The best thing ever is adding the cheesecake flavor to Greek yogurt and layer it on an overnight oats ( with oat milk and honey graham protein powder ) to a healthier cheesecake. I add strawberries and that strawberry goo glaze on top . It’s like 400 cals but it’s worth it .

I add strawberries, crushed graham crackers, and fat free whipped cream to it and use it as the base for a kind of strawberry cheesecake.

I tried it in greek yogurt recently and it was disgusting. It was a letdown after seeing people rave about it.

If you don’t want to add any calories to it, I recommend putting the full made bowl in the freezer for like an hour or so before you’re going to eat it. Not long enough to fully freeze it, but it gets significantly thicker (and obviously colder) and to me it tastes better that way.
Of those, the white chocolate and chocolate *fudge* are my favorites. Normally I would like pistachio, butterscotch, and cheesecake the best, but the sugar free versions of this brand just have a bit of an off flavor. The pistachio isn’t terrible, but still benefits from the freezer trick for me.
