Italian extra virgin olive oil represents a globally recognized excellence, but for many producers reaching new international markets remains a complex challenge. It is precisely to support the millers in this path that the collaboration between AIFO (Italian Association of Olive Oil Millers) e Alibaba.com, the largest B2B platform in the world, with over 48 million active buyers in more than 200 countries.
The agreement, which marks a decisive step towards the digitalisation of the Italian olive oil supply chain, was presented today during the conference “From the Mill to Digital: New Frontiers for the Sale of Quality Oils”, held at the Fiera del Levante in Bari, inside Evolio Expo, the fair dedicated to extra virgin olive oil and the Mediterranean.
Alibaba.com is a global showcase that allows businesses to connect directly with distributors and buyers around the world. The platform offers advanced digital marketing tools, allowing oil producers to improve their visibility and generate strategic business contacts.
