Maybe, but don’t some cans have liners now?
triple7freak1
They will end up in an emergency room one day
Prestigious_Ear_3578
I’ll be honest, I would eat this
AkuTheNiceGuy
The only problem i have is leaving the paper on the can.
echochilde
Mmm. Baked BPA.
Dazzling_Pink9751
This is actually one of the better things she has cooked. She usually boils all her meats. lol
TakeOnMe-TakeOnMe
Good thing those labels didn’t catch fire.
darknessWolf2
ngl the recipe kinda reminds me of when i used to make cheese potatoes from a can when i was a kid cause my mom bought alot of canned potatoes for veggie beef stew wed make at home so id usually pop a can of sliced potatoes in the microwave and add cheese and butter
Doobie_Howser_MD
Usually this lady’s food looks atrocious but this one actually seems like a reasonable lonely man’s dinner
PrepperLargely
Canned potatoes cost more than fresh ones. This isn’t cheap redneck food. It’s rage bait and I’ve blocked them. No seasoning, no proper cooking, dude always drops the camera for no reason… no thanks.
Rare_Key_3232
This is just a poorly made gratin
cconnorss
First time I seen her actually season something. So we’re getting somewhere.
WooWhosWoo
Potatoes au grautin… In a can
ChefHolz
Don’t do this. These can aren’t meant to be heated in any way. Heating will cause the metals to break down and will leech into the food. (nickel and chromium..) Also most cans have an inside lining of Bisphenol, a.k.a. BPA. Too many health risks to list. This is so cringe. Be smart out there.
Adventurous-Start874
that glasstop burner is stressing me out.

The only thing stupid about this recipe is those cans. We usually cook/serve stuff like this in a small portion-sized clay pots.
rudbek-of-rudbek
I mean, I would eat it if I was high.
organicchunkysalsa
Mmm, delicious BPA
jjmawaken
The worst thing about this is cooking it in a can. Cheesy potatoes are pretty awesome though.
-Gimli-SonOfGloin-
I’m surprised she didn’t microwave it.
madncqt
don’t these things almost always say remove from can once opened? I know linings and such have improved, but just why? makes for great *conversation* that I keep falling for (… for now)

Josh & Momma did a birthday Cameo for my wife, had it less than an hour after I ordered it. They are the sweetest, most gracious people out here and I wish them nothing but the best. Most of her recipes are misses but they are super wholesome and their videos are hilarious.
BehemothJr
Why didn’t the labels on the cans get brown around the edges?
jamesbest7
Honestly this “recipe” doesn’t look terrible, but the fucking container!? You don’t have a dish!?
Fucking BPA and botulism. This is just an irresponsible and dangerous video to post. Content like this should not be allowed to be monetized.

I LOVE plastic in my food !!
casiepierce
If you’re camping, this is fine to stick on some hot coals. But if you have a whole kitchen, why?
MoobooMagoo
I mean…it’s not a terrible idea if you don’t have a casserole dish for some reason.
Iamuroboros
I like my loaded potatoes with extra BPA.
ciopobbi
I have never once even gave even one second of thought to buying potatoes in a can.
ciopobbi
I feel sorry for people who think this is cooking.
ScottyBLaZe
At least she used Cavenders, which is a top tier seasoning, imo.
RestlessDeadSyndrome
The dude was disgusted on that first bite, then it was poorly cut and edited
Cryptoking300
Yum, plastic can lining!

Is this supposed to be one of those stupid simple food hacks? A baked potato would be less work and taste way better…
Dear-Director-6043
Momma is a saint! Don’t you dare put her on r/stupidfoods again
MrNotSoGoodTime
Josh and Mama are NOT stupid! She’s a treasure, even if her “cooking” is questionable at best most of the time lol
AlarmedDisplay2856
I’m just surprised that her son is still alive after some of her recipes. 😂😂
Enby-Emperor-4
Might actually smack if it was done in like… a muffin tin instead. Something that’s *meant* to go in the oven
CamperCarl00
At 380 for 25 minutes, there’s no way those labels are that pristine. No over boiling from the whipping cream and the top looks like it was hit with a torch.
I suspect they cooked the mixture separately, stuffed the cans with it, and then seared the top using either a torch or the broil setting on the oven. I can’t get that kind of a scorched top at 400 for 40 min when doing scalloped potatoes.
