The news came via social media, where posts on Dady’s Instagram and Facebook accounts said, “To say we LOVED being a part of the amazingly beautiful and historical Carriage House at @sabotgarden would not nearly give the credit to how special it was to us.”
The announcement on Monday said Jardín would close after brunch service on May 31.
During its five-year run at the Botanical Garden, Jardín generated positive reviews from the Express-News for its constellation of mezze plates, Moroccan beef short rib and roasted octopus. At the time, Dady said Jardín was the busiest restaurant he had ever opened.
The Jason Dady Restaurant Group also includes the Top 10 River Walk Italian spot Tre Trattoria, Two Bros. BBQ Market and Range on the River Walk.
The group’s hands have been full lately, with plans for a complex of Mexican-focused food concepts called Mexico Ceaty at the former food court at the Shops at Rivercenter mall. Dady also opened Tre Pizzeria in Boerne last spring.
