My sage smart scoop ice cream maker has been used under 20 times but is now making a strange ticking sound every time it runs, it just started out of the blue but I have no clue if I should be worried or not. I'm trying to churn an ice cream right now but I've stopped it and decided to wait for a response since I can't find the same issue elsewhere, their support is closed for the weekend and ive got no clue what to do.
Thank you in advance for any help.

It’s 100% confirmed. I need this machine in my life.
I have the Breville which looks exactly the same so I assume they are. Anytime it makes a weird noise, it’s usually because I didn’t seat the little bucket properly. To troubleshoot, try removing the bucket (I’m sure there’s a better name but it escapes me right now) along with the paddle and try running it again. See if it still makes that noise. If not, add the bucket and see if it makes the noise. Then, try installing the padddle. That should tell you which part is the issue.
If it makes the noise without any of the parts installed, it may be the motor. Don’t forget the part where the handle connects to the bucket should fit into the notches on the machine for a good fit.
Good luck!
our machine started making noises because a bit of ice had accumulated in the bottom of the bucket
