Saw a similar setup online and decided to build it myself. Made entirely from Douglas wood beams, including a closable lid for protection against the elements.

It’s got built-in lighting, plenty of workspace, storage, and of course the Big Green Egg as the centerpiece. Can’t wait to fire it up tonight for the first cook.

Let me know what you think — happy to share more photos or the build process if anyone’s curious!

Looks AMAZING. The only thing I would add is a way to elevate the egg off of the block below it to ensure airflow and heat dispersion to prevent *possible* cracking.

Good idea to tuck a small fire extinguisher in one of those drawers just in case. If you’re burning it out clean, there’ll be alot of heat in there.

How well does this work with the heat coming out of the chimney

Does it cause any damage to the shelter?

That looks great, but you really do need a table nest under your egg to keep it from cracking. Also, I’d probably make a way to open the backside for more air flow. Even if it was a smaller opening, it doesn’t need to be the entire side. Maybe something egg size on a pulley so that you can open it without moving the entire stand.

Any chance that you can share the blueprint… I have enough terras to show off such a think and I know for sure some people who would love to have one..
