First harvest of the season! Can’t believe it happened so soon. How is everyone else doing?

I picked two yesterday and I’m going to just make some refrigerator pickle hamburger chips with them. I don’t see any anymore that are close to needing to be picked right now.

Jealous! I have two large patches of straight 8s this year. All flowers, no joy.

I’m doing well! Harvested some basil and a couple of grape tomatoes last week

Beautiful! I just harvested my first cucumber a day ago and it was so fresh and had a wonderful taste to it.

  5. 2 8” cukes this morning that I didn’t even know were there until watering.

Had been completely hidden under the leaves…

When the cukes start coming in, that’s always a happy day! My first round of cucumber plants is almost finished now. They started bearing in mid-May. Those were Jade Beauty and Tokyo Green (Tokiwa.) Ate lots and gave away even more. Made lots of pickles.

I succession plant. My Diva cukes, about 10 or 12 inches tall, are in the ground and will begin bearing in 3 or 4 weeks (I hope.) They are parthenocarpic, and don’t depend on bees for pollination. The variety is supposed to be heat tolerant.

This is my first year gardening. I started with 4 cucumber seeds indoors, planted 2 outside, and gave the other 2 to my friends. I have harvested over 15 cucumbers in the last month with so many more coming. My friends’ plants have given them 1 each lol. Now if only my romas would finally ripen.
