A charming slice of culinary tradition has been given new life in Tampa. Lina’s Restaurant, located at 14819 N. Dale Mabry, took over a former Greek breakfast spot that’s been a neighborhood staple for more than 37 years, and thanks to its new owner, Lina Bazzari, it’s now delighting diners with a global menu that blends Mediterranean flavors—from Greek and Jordanian dishes to American favorites. Since taking over in March, she has reimagined the space and expanded the hours, bringing breakfast, lunch, and dinner to the table from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
At Lina’s, the menu isn’t just about food—it’s a reflection of culture. The Mediterranean side of the menu brings authentic dishes from Lina’s home country of Jordan, including house-made falafel, creamy baba ganoush, and hummus crafted fresh daily. With years of food-industry experience in Manhattan, Lina and her husband set out to create a menu that celebrates her roots while preserving the original restaurant’s community importance and beloved dishes.
“When we moved to Tampa, we thought we had enough experience to open our own restaurant,” Lina says. “We found this spot in a lovely neighborhood, and it’s been a joy bringing it to life.”

Globally inspired fare on the menu at Lina’s
Lina’s commitment to authenticity is bolstered by the previous owner, who generously shared his recipes and still comes in to cook alongside the new team. The menu also features daily specials from different countries, turning every visit into a global surprise. “We try what’s popular but also introduce something new,” Lina says. “We aim to have something for everybody.”
While the Mediterranean offerings steal the spotlight, the American side of the menu brings its own flavorful charm. The Smashed Burger—a premium Angus patty mixed with brisket—is a local favorite, while the Reuben sandwich, made with premium pastrami or customizable corned beef, has earned rave reviews.
Regulars appreciate the diverse options, ranging from gyro bowls and tuna sandwiches to the decadent Turkish baklava that complements the meal.
