This is like my cafe shop I work at 😂 we are the smallest location but have to order so much product to actually get it delivered

You will run out when the 12,001st person asks for a straw

I mean… would you rather have too much or not enough? 😂

The paper company I order from switches up their suppliers a lot. Sometimes I get mismatched cups, sometimes I get mismatched lids, sometimes they’ll send me their “suitable replacement” things, it’s been this way since Covid. Normally works out. Last week I ordered six cases of straws from them, a case typically has 1,000 straws (they’re compostable). well fuck me if they didn’t switch manufacturers again and I got 72,000 straws as a result 😅, 12,000 straws per case. I returned all but one case, I’m good for the summer.

we do the same thing 😅 its the smallest pack sysco carries so we distribute amongst locations

I’d rather have and not need, than need and not have. Just put half in some zip lock bags and throw them in the freezer, they’ll keep.

I’ve worked on both the cafe side and the supplier side. Dollar to donuts that the supplier was out of the regular case count and sent this instead.

Can get more manageable quantities elsewhere delivered for a very similar unit cost. Sysco is rough for this kind of thing.
