Hey guys,
I ate at Sushiro during my first trip to Tokyo. Can someone explain how it’s so cheap? I ate plenty of tuna, eel, etc. and ended up paying 3400 yen for 2 people.
It wasn’t the best sushi I’ve ever had, but it was still super good 🤤

  1. It’s cheap because the ingredients are about as low quality as you can get for sushi in Japan. And they buy a lot

I went to Sushiro yesterday too! I had the lean tuna, seared salmon with basil cheese, shrimp avocado, fried quail egg gunkan, and french fries. It was 120 yen * 4 plus 150 yen, for a total of 630 yen. It was hot yesterday, so my main reason for going to Sushiro was actually to drink some tea.

  3. Sushiro FTW. Whenever I’m near one I order their assorted maguro set. It’s such a good deal for several dollars.

3200-3400 is weirdly our avg for two as well at another sushi chain. I tend to get a small ramen/soba and a sweet lactic bacteria drink with it.

I’m so glad to see a pile of plates. That’s how I eat at revolving sushi places.

Misaki Sushi is a bit higher in quality. Try that place next!

Sushiro’s my favourite conveyor. We ate at their restaurant at Expo on opening day and the land-farmed fish was delightful.
