Filled with Alderwood pellets and it's been going for 2 hours

How was the final product? I’ve got one for cold smoking cheese but haven’t tried it out yet.

Nice! I have the same thing. I made some ribs with it. I’m glad to see you got it to smoke on the grates. I put it down on the flavorizer fins but it kept catching fire. I’ll try it on the grates next time

Mine never works. What’s the trick to making it smoke?

I’ve got a Pro Smoker that I use in my charcoal grill for cold smoking, same idea.

    Works a treat 👍🏻

Top tip I hardly ever see for cold smoking – But – Smoke Rock or Sea Salt and put it in a grinder – Magical.

Nice! I have a Weber Spirit II and no room for a smoker so I bought a pellet tube that extends up to about 16”. I get 6+ hours of smoke with one fill. I have made some killer ribs, chicken and pork butt. Brisket came out decent, but I was happy enough with it for my first attempt. I turn one side of the grill on low and it stays right at 250 with the lid closed. Put the meat on the other side and let it ride. Also great for cold smoking like you’re doing. Have fun!

I bought the 12” tube from Amazon probably 4 years ago, I love it! I use a propane torch to light it and it smokes for over an hour with 2-3 inches of pellets (long enough for the grill).

Wow! That’s the best I’ve seen these things smoke! What did you do and what are you cooking?

  8. Got the same one (but the 12″) a few months ago, cold smoked sides of salmon 3x already, it’s a great addition to the grill

I was gifted a few (small) bags of pellets, and I dont have a pellet smoker, so I tried making it work, but haven’t had much luck. 🤷‍♂️

I have a Weber Smoker Box and I love being able to use wood chips. I’d love to have a proper offset smoker but I don’t have the space. This scratches an itch at least!

I was going to post an updated picture I can’t seem to get it to do it on the same post. Anybody know how to do that?

My wife got me one after a friend stopped using his smoker for them. She accidentally got two, which has been great to add more smoke or have one ready when it runs out. I’ve done salmon, trout, a leg of lamb, a deer ham, a cyclone, and some quail with it. It works really well, far better than I imagined it would.

Yeah i use it in the kettle with a tray of ice above it – did it for bacon and salmon! Kept it at 90 degrees that way in 80 degree weather

These work great for fall/winter (Montana), cold smoking cheese, peppers, homemade bacon!

  15. Remote_Presentation6

I cold smoke cheese with one of these. Works great!

I have the same Nexgrill. What did you rig up to the back to prevent heat/smoke loss?

I got a 4 hr and a 2 hr one from Ace Hardware. Works great. I’m using my gas grill as a smoker. Light one side, 225, start my 4hr pellet smoker tube. Throw on some ribs. 4 hrs later, great smoked ribs.

Why is this filmed like we’re getting a glimpse of an endangered animal in the wild

  19. I think the problem is the lack of airflow/oxygen. I started cracking my lid open the tiniest bit in the side nearest to my smoke tube and it seems to help.

What is this product, and can we get a link?

A cheap/free Weber Kettle does the same thing, but better 😉

I just ordered a smoke box myself for my Webber kettle. Beats using foil like I normally do.
