Pretty pumped about this purchase. Any tips from other owners? Or recommendations for a first cook?

I’ve had mine for 5 years, best purchase ever.
Some advice, don’t keep the lid open for too long or your temp will spike when you close it. I usually turn the temp setpoint to low if I plan to have it open for more than 30 seconds.
After you smoke fatty meats like brisket and pork butt, clean the grease out and run it up on high until it stops smoking. Failure to do this will eventually result in a fire when you crank her up to do some chicken and the food will taste awful.
It will sear on high but it takes forever to get up to temp and I love reverse seared ribeye……so I have a Weber kettle next to it for property searing steaks after smoking.
This thing makes everything taste amazing, after about 275 there isn’t a lot of smoke, I will usually start whatever I’m grilling and the low hi smoke setting for 20 minutes or so, then turn it up to 425 until done.
Get a cast iron pan, two logs of chocolate chip cookie. Press the dough into the pan and cook at 350 until desired gooeyness.
