OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oil Tree, a family-owned gourmet shop known for its ultra-premium olive oils and artisanal pantry staples, has officially opened at OAK, Oklahoma City’s premier mixed-use district.

The shop becomes the first Oklahoma-based business to join the 20-acre development, marking a significant milestone for the growing destination.

Founded by Oklahoma native Maggie Peterson, The Oil Tree’s second location occupies a 1,763-square-foot space fronting Heartwood Park. The store offers a curated selection of extra virgin olive oils, aged balsamic vinegars, spices, sauces, pastas, popcorn seasonings, cookware and locally made products. The new location will also host cooking classes, olive oil tastings and offer customizable gift sets.

The store is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 12 to 6 p.m.

A grand opening celebration is scheduled for Friday, July 26, featuring demo stations, giveaways, live music and complimentary beverages from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Oil Tree joins a lineup of national retailers and restaurants at OAK, including Mesero, Capital Grille, Pottery Barn and Williams-Sonoma. RH at OAK will open this month as the region’s first Design Gallery, and Shake Shack and Blue Mercury are set to open later this year.

OAK continues to host community events in Heartwood Park, including yoga, markets and live music. On July 26, OAK will also host its inaugural Christmas in July event with a dog house auction and puppy parade.
