Firing up the grill for July 4th? We have the perfect appetizer to add to the menu! Our grilled peach, buratta, and hot honey crostini brings together the juiciest in-season stone fruit and our delicious Italian Sourdough for an Independence Day appetizer folks will be talking about all year. Recipe below!
Ingredients:
4 slices izzio artisan bakery Italian Sourdough Boule
4 peaches
1 4 oz ball burrata
1/4 c thai basil
2 tbsp hazelnuts, chopped
hot honey, to taste
olive oil, for greasing and to taste
1. Light grill to medium heat.
2. Halve peaches and remove the pit. Drizzle bread and peaches with olive oil.
3. Grill peaches 15 minutes until tender, flipping half way. Unripe peaches may take longer to soften. Grill bread for 1-2 minutes on each side until charred. Remove peaches and bread from grill.
4. Cut bread in half and peaches into slices. Arrange bread on serving platter and top with peach slices, burrata, basil, hazelnuts, hot honey, and olive oil to taste.
5. Serve immediately.
