Came pretty cold and no texture or crust to It. Did I make a poor order or is this just not cooked right.

That’s not even blue, it’s straight up uncooked.

Wtf that “steak” is thinner than Kate Moss. Hope you got it sorted. Blue is cool with me, but that’s embarrassing.

This is raw. And it’s not fully the chef’s fault. You can’t cook a steak thin like that rare. They preferred undercooking it over you sending it back because it’s too cooked. Now if you send it back, they can just cook it a bit more

Theres no way

Are they allowed to serve steak this thin?
BasementBanners
It’s a thin steak so I’m sure they didn’t want to overcook it but yeah it’s ugly, but the chef was in a no win situation with the thinness of that steak.
Microballer
I have seen bacon thicker than that.
Then-Yam-2266
Steak so thin it’s 2 dimensional.
jaybird99990
Was that listed as a 4oz select ribeye?

With a steak that thin it’s hard to tell. Very hard to prepare as well.
meggienwill
That’s just tataki lol

Why are we complaining about a cook from cheap restaurants? What are we doing here, people?
vetheros37
Something that thin is hard to temp right.
EquivalentAromatic95
To be fair this does not look like a place that I would trust to a cook a steak rare. Looks kind of diner-ish. Got to ask for at least medium rare and just accept that it will probably come out medium.

Is that all the fries they gave you? What’s the name of this place so I can avoid it

My dad had a friend that would order his steaks similar to this. He would always tell the waiter to flip it twice and bring it straight out. Seeing that steak reminded me of that.

everytime i see posts like this…in my mind the person is there in the resturant waiting on a reddit response before sending it back or doing something about it 😛

EAT IT YOU COWARD!

That’s a frozen steak tossed on a grill for 10 seconds each. That’s dog food.
insufficientfacts27
This looks like the “steak” you eat at 3am at Waffle House while blackout drunk. 😬
mikeyx401
Can’t complain when you ate more then half of it.
Street_Glass8777
Consider yourself lucky. At least it will have flavour instead of having it cooked out of it.

Is that a steak? Difficult to cook anything well when it’s that thin. Are you in a restaurant?
With something that thin the cook was given an impossible task and probably knew it. The general rule is you can always cook up if sent back, but can never cook down. This how I would look at it as someone that that worked in shitty restraunts in my younger years.
FederalLobster5665
that looks like seared ahi tuna
Dipstickpattywack
Not even a steak lol. Beef paper?

Cooked on a heated argument

Did they just put it in the sunlight for thirty seconds?

Your order is not the issue. That is gross.
