Randomly decided to do this one day and found it quite handy. Basically cut up those big butter blocks into 4 butter sticks, and cut each butter stick in 1/3. Then wrap them in parchment paper.

You can make them smaller or bigger if you want, personally we had these mini square parchment papers sitting in the drawer for years without use, so I decided to cut them to fit those.

I found it handy because you can just open it up super easily and directly rub it onto whatever you're buttering.

You can also leave it out in those "butter containers" on the counter that I've personally never understood the use for, since apparently butter still only lasts a few days at most in them. So even if it's not used up in a few days, at least you're not throwing out a bunch.

You can buy butter in boxes that are half sticks and just save yourself the time. This was a very strange post

  3. Most butter sticks you buy from the grocery store even have markings on them for tbsp measurements if you wanna slice them.

There is a reason why your post isn’t getting upvotes. This is not a “foodhack” No COOK has an issue with ‘portioning butter.’ 🙄
