Sourdough bread is my favorite grilled cheese bread. Crazy to think some places don’t have access to it, let alone top tier sourdough.
One thing I love doing with sourdough bread is buttering both slices with room temperature butter and really getting the butter deep inside all the holes. Then I’ll put it in the microwave with the cheese and microwave for 30-60 seconds because this really helps melt the cheese. While it’s microwaving I’ll be heating up a pan with a few splashes of olive oil and then I’ll fry the sandwich in the oil and it just comes out soooo good.
