Can anyone help ID this Korean side dish I had in Seoul?
I had this side dish while I was in Seoul recently. It was sweet, savory, and a bit nutty. What is this called in Korean? and where to buy them?
Thanks !

Looks like a banchan made from stir fried dried anchovies and peanuts, in Korean it is Myeolchi ttangkong bokkeum 멸치땅콩볶음

멸치볶음 stir fried anchovies.
Where to buy them? Depends on where you live. If there’s a Korean mart near you, they should have some pre-made banchan like this.

Seasoned anchovies. Look at your H-Mart.

You can make it at home. It’s pretty easy. Hardest things to find is the dried anchovies. They’ll have them at any Korean grocery store. Here’s a recipe. https://www.maangchi.com/recipe/myeolchi-bokkeum

Do people really not know this anchovy dish? I’ve never been to Korea and I get served this dish all the time at my local KBBQ place

This is like candy for Korean children. My mother always made it spicy and I couldn’t get enough when I was little. I made it for my kids and they couldn’t either. Mmmm so ono!
This and dried octopus, squid, or cuttlefish – were the only animal products I liked as a child.
