This gave my husband and I a good chuckle. Apparently Buc-ee’s is confident their market segment has good taste in wine! Don’t worry though, the plague that is Yellow Tail Sangria was located on the shelf below…

Owner will sneek a crate or two once it goes un sold.

  2. That Nickel and Nickel Vaca Vista is great. Opus is so over priced, its ridiculous. Fucking Rothschilds are proud of thier shit. They could take a dump in a box and sell it for $1000, though, because people will buy it.

The nickel and nickel is the real MVP of this photo.

Buc-ee’s gets some weirdly high end wines. I used to work for a distributor that repped LVMH and one of my on prem accounts lost his shit because Buc-ee’s was selling Dom Perignon for less than what we were selling it at wholesale.

You’ll find some cool deals on high end wines, but I don’t think opus is one of them. Even if it was half that price I’d grab the nickel and nickel every time.

I think that is the closest Opus One has ever been to CK Mondavi! What a hilarious shelf set.

  6. At that price, it will keep sitting there too! 😂

Buy 4 of those Nickel Vaca Vista’s for the price of one of the Opus.

Need more than that to pair with a jerky flight.

I know the distributors in my area have been selling 3-4 bottle combos of this and others in the same book (insignia, far niente, caymus SpS) but it sure has put more of these “napa staples” out in the market. Not sure if this is the same as your state but that’s definitely been going on in mass.

  10. I could see this at maybe the Katy bucees but I’ve never thought of looking for wine when making a stop haha
