WHEELING, W.Va. — The 42nd annual Undo’s Upper Ohio Valley Italian Heritage Festival is set to bring a taste of Italy to Wheeling’s Heritage Port from July 26-28.
The festival promises traditional food, music, and vendors, offering something for everyone.
“Food, fun, and family. That’s what we’re going for, so most of our events revolve around food,” said Michelle Fabbro, president of the festival.
This year, attendees can look forward to learning how to make homemade pasta and limoncello at the spaghetti dinner following Sunday’s Catholic Mass.
“It brings people together that may not have seen each other for years. You’re rekindling some old friendships, you’re making some new friends,” said Tony Filberto, chairman of the festival.
Leading up to the weekend, the annual kickoff dinner will be held at Undo’s in St. Clairsville at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and will feature guest speaker and Italian Man of the Year, Beau Catalano.
“I’m originally from Long Island, N.Y., and I came here about 40 years ago, and I met Nick and Anthony ‘Herk’ Sparachane, and we got together and started Undo’s Family Restaurant all together as a team,” Catalano said.
